È il Vinitaly la sede scelta dal Consorzio della Barbera d’Asti e Vini del Monferrato per presentare “Barbera 70”, iniziativa nata per festeggiare i settanta anni di storia dell’ente di tutela e promozione.
Un grande anniversario, quello del Consorzio, che a Verona si associa ai festeggiamenti del cinquantenario del Vinitaly presentando uno degli eventi più esclusivi in programma alla kermesse veronese (10-13 aprile). Lunedì 11 aprile alle ore 13.00 presso lo spazio istituzionale della regione Piemonte (Pad 10, Stand G2), il grande sommelier Luca Gardini, campione del mondo 2010, mostrerà i diversi volti della Barbera compiendo un excursus del gusto attraverso le peculiarità delle migliori Barbera prodotte all’estero e la complessità del vino che si produce in Italia nel suo territorio di elezione, il Sud est del Piemonte e il Monferrato.
La degustazione guidata condotta da questo talento del vino di caratura internazionale, sarà preceduta alle ore 12.00 da una tavola rotonda dove il Presidente Filippo Mobrici incontrerà illustri personalità dei media italiani quali Antonio Paolini, Daniele Cernilli, Marco Sabellico, Alessandro Scorsone e molti altri. Esperti e critici fra i più accreditati si confronteranno con i più importanti produttori al mondo sulle ragioni della riscoperta della Barbera d’Asti in Italia e all’estero, soffermandosi sulla versatilità di un vitigno straordinario e molto caratteristico e sulla portata internazionale di un vino della tradizione in grado di entrare di diritto nelle più contemporanee occasioni di consumo assecondando con duttilità i trend del gusto.
La performance di Luca Gardini sarà accompagnata dai piatti preparati dallo chef stellato Walter Ferretto cui sarà affidato il compito di rappresentare uno spaccato della più alta tradizione culinaria piemontese attraverso una straordinaria interpretazione d’autore. Riconoscibilità territoriale e prestigio internazionale rappresentano dunque l’anima di “Barbera 70” che identifica non solo un anniversario importante storicamente, ma anche un contenitore di iniziative che si snoderanno in tutto il 2016 in cui la Barbera d’Asti sarà protagonista nel suo territorio di origine, il Piemonte, ma anche in altre importanti città in Italia e all’estero dove l’interesse dei consumatori e degli operatori del settore verso questo vino è in costante crescita. Appuntamento dunque al Vinitaly lunedì 11 aprile alle ore 12.00 per celebrare i settanta anni del Consorzio della Barbera d’Asti e Vini del Monferrato con una grande degustazione di Barbera.
