Si chiama “Modello di gestione avanzata del Soave – La biodiversità in vigna” ed è l’insieme delle linee guida che il Consorzio di Tutela attiva all’interno di tutta la filiera produttiva sin da 1982.
Scopo di questo modello è ottimizzare dal punto di vista della sostenibilità i risultati tecnici, l’attenzione ambientale e la tutela dell’operatore su tutto il comprensorio di riferimento per ridurre al minimo l’uso di fitofarmaci.
In vista di tale obbiettivo sono coinvolti al massimo livello tutte le filiere collegate alla produzione integrata nel vigneto quindi produttori, tecnici di campagna, istituzioni, rivenditori e ditte produttrici dei presidi sanitari e delle macchine operatrici. Competenza
Sulla base dei dati agro-metereologici raccolti la commissione fitosanitaria, che dal germogliamento alla fine della vendemmia si riunisce settimanalmente al Consorzio, monitora l’andamento climatico, effettua prelievi fogliari, di prodotto e di terreno e, infine, fornisce assistenza tecnica ai produttori, stilando le linee di pronto intervento in vigna.
Condivisione
La sostenibilità è un valore condiviso dalle oltre 3000 aziende produttrici che operano all’interno della filiera. Sulla base di questo valore condiviso ogni azienda ha individuato il percorso più idoneo – biodinamico, biologico, integrato… – in vista di una gestione del vigneto “amica dell’ambiente”, per tutta la stagione vegetativa.
Misurazione
A fine campagna fitosanitaria il Consorzio di tutela, in base agli indici di Biodiversità previsti dal protocollo Biodiversity Friends, misura la qualità ambientale del “vigneto Soave” raggiunta attraverso i differenti “percorsi verdi” intrapresi dalle singole aziende. Questo protocollo, messo a punto nel 2010 dalla World Biodiversity Association, oltre alla qualità ambientale, considera anche i metodi di difesa dalle avversità, il ripristino della fertilità del suolo, la gestione delle risorse idriche, la presenza di siepi e boschi, la conservazione della biodiversità agraria, l’utilizzo di energie rinnovabili e le particolarità naturalistiche dell’area utilizzando gli Ortotteri come bioindicatori.
Validazione
A fronte dei parametri d’analisi utilizzati (indici di biodiversità per aria, acqua, suolo) il “Sistema Soave” viene validato dal Consorzio di tutela che è così in grado di rilevare l’impatto dell’attività vitivinicola sul territorio.
Nella stagione 2016, in base all’indice di biodiversità del suolo IBS-BF, l’indice di biodiversità delle acque superficiali IBA-BF e l’indice di biodiversità lichenica per l’aria, il Sistema Soave ha raggiunto il risultato complessivo del 70% a fronte di una soglia minima del 60% per potersi certificare “Biodiversity friend”.Quello del Soave è ad oggi l’unico consorzio italiano che utilizza il protocollo della biodiversità come sistema di misura – un vero e proprio termometro – in grado di valutare l’incidenza delle fasi produttive su terra, acqua, aria. In questo modo la biodiversità diventa una sorta di “ponte” che gradualmente conduce le aziende produttrici, già impegnate in tema di rispetto dell’ambiente, verso il vero obiettivo finale: la sostenibilità dell’intero sistema produttivo.
