Vino e offerta culturale rappresentano l’abbinamento vincente di Calici di Stelle, evento nazionale proposto da Movimento Turismo del Vino e Città del Vino, in occasione delle notti d’agosto illuminate, come da tradizione, dalle stelle cadenti. L’evento si celebra anche nel territorio della Strada del vino Soave (www.stradadelvinosoave.com) ed in particolare in due località, a Colognola ai Colli e a Monteforte d’Alpone (Vr).
Colognola ai Colli: ad ogni gradone della scalinata, una tipologia di vino del territorio. Calici di Stelle a Colognola ai Colli si tiene venerdì 5 e sabato 6 agosto a partire dalle ore 19.30, ed è organizzato dalla Pro Loco locale (tel. 347-8599701, presidente Alfonso Avogaro) nello scenario della monumentale scalinata Zandomeneghi, dedicata allo scultore Luigi Zandomeneghi (1778-1850), attivo soprattutto a Venezia ma che ebbe i natali nella località veronese. Su ogni gradone della scalinata, che porta al monte di Colognola, da cui si gode una splendida vista sulla val d’Illasi illuminata, le cantine della zona allestiranno i loro banchi di degustazione per servire, in un crescendo di tipologie, i vini del territorio, dal Soave Doc al Valpolicella, dal Valpolicella Superiore ai vini da meditazione, Recioto di Soave e Recioto Valpolicella. Non mancheranno i prodotti tipici e le eccellenze del territorio con cui cenare, che si potranno acquistare con i “verdoni”, speciali banconote realizzate per l’evento e che si troveranno nel kit fornito ai partecipanti insieme a sacca e calice.
Monteforte d’Alpone, degustazioni di “Acinatico” e risotti a sorpresa. Nella terra dei vini Soave Classico e Recioto di Soave, Calici di Stelle, organizzato dalla Pro Loco di Monteforte (tel. 392-0508139) si terrà sabato 6 e domenica 7 agosto a partire dalle ore 19 in centro paese (Foro Boario-via Dante). Negli stand presenti si potrà cenare con specialità, tra cui risotti a sorpresa, nonché degustare i vini delle cantine del territorio. A far da padrone, sarà il Recioto, il cui antenato, l’acinatico, venne descritto nella sua dolce soavità ben 1.500 anni fa da Cassiodoro (490-580 circa), politico-letterato, grande protagonista della storia italiana nel passaggio tra antichità e Medioevo, e primo grande commentatore dei vini passiti veronesi al tempo di Re Teodorico. Un primato, quello del celebre personaggio storico, che ha condotto Monteforte ad essere il comune capofila di un progetto che prevede la realizzazione di più busti di Cassiodoro da collocare nel territorio, il primo dei quali fa già bella mostra di sé nel palazzo municipale del paese.
