Tre giorni da venerdì 27 a domenica 29 maggio nelle colline incantate del Gavi per scoprire la “Denominazione Artistica” del Grande Bianco Piemontese attraverso Valore Forte Gavi For Arts.
Il programma è ricchissimo: l’imponente Forte diventa il palcoscenico della Buona Italia, il Premio Gavi che quest’anno sarà assegnato alla” Filiera della Bellezza” ovvero i migliori progetti che in ambito nazionale associano il mondo del Vino e del Cibo alle Arti e alla Cultura; l’antica fortezza apre le porte a una mostra inedita sulla percezione e la fruizione della Terra con le sculture e le installazioni di artisti; il sito archeologico di Libarna propone conversazioni sulle origini del Vino con Attilio Scienza e un curiosissimo mercato di cibo di strada con ricette dell’antica Roma.
Il Presidente del Consorzio Tutela del Gavi Maurizio Montobbio spiega così perché Gavi diventa “Denominazione Artistica”: “Una denominazione di vino non è solo controllata e garantita da punto di vista produttivo ma difende una propria bellezza che si interseca con i beni culturali, l’arte contemporanea, l’archeologia, il terroir e le storie del territorio. L’esempio che propone oggi il Consorzio è una rete di soggetti istituzionali impegnati nella qualificazione del patrimonio agroalimentare e culturale per offrire ai turisti e ai wine lovers nuove chiavi di lettura, di interpretazione e di fruizione dello straordinario patrimonio storico, culturale, naturale ed enogastronomico del nostro territorio. “Il Gavi è amatissimo all’estero, in oltre 25 paesi. In questi anni abbiamo conquistato i mercati internazionali – che sono sempre una priorità – ma oggi l’impegno del Consorzio è concentrato a promuovere il territorio e le storie di cultura, enogastronomia che rendono unica la nostra terra”.
Negli ultimi 10 anni la denominazione del Gavi DOCG ha assistito ad un costante incremento: circa il 40% di superficie vitata in più – da 1076 ettari a 1507, il 47% di bottiglie prodotte – da 8 a 12.600.000 – e l ‘85% circa della produzione destinata all’export soprattutto in UK, USA, Russia Giappone. Una denominazione dinamica che conta circa 440 aziende tra produttori, vinificatori e imbottigliatori, impiega 5000 persone nell’intera filiera per un totale di circa 55 mln di fatturato ai distributori (on trade). Il buon andamento del mercato nazionale e internazionale ha significato una crescita generale della denominazione compresa negli 11 comuni della Provincia di Alessandria in termini di accoglienza turistica, ricettività, valore dei terreni, delle aziende e degli scambi. Una crescita che il Consorzio guida attraverso un modello di valorizzazione del territorio basato sull’integrazione tra enogastronomia e cultura e di programmazione di filiera con l ‘obiettivo di innovare, tutelare e promuovere le terre del Grande Bianco Piemontese.
