“Il vino Chianti DOCG si potrà imbottigliare soltanto in Toscana per garantire maggiore tracciabilità, maggiori e tempestivi controlli del prodotto, tutelando così il consumatore”.
E’ questa in sintesi la novità inserita fra le proposte di modifica al disciplinare del Consorzio Vino Chianti che sarà discussa in una riunione di ‘pubblico accertamento’ indetta dal Ministero delle Politiche Agricole Alimentari e Forestali e dalla Regione Toscana con gli operatori della filiera lunedì 27 giugno a Firenze (ore 14,30 presso lo Starhotel Michelangelo, Viale F.lli Rosselli, 2).
“Si tratta della modifica della delimitazione della zona di vinificazione, invecchiamento imbottigliamento e affinamento – spiega Giovanni Busi, presidente del Consorzio Vino Chianti – ad oggi infatti è possibile imbottigliare i nostri prodotti in tutto il mondo ma una volta approvata questa variante al disciplinare si potrà imbottigliare esclusivamente in quasi tutto il territorio della Toscana”. Non riguarderanno questo provvedimento, come previsto dalla regolamentazione dell’Unione Europea, le aziende confezionatrici ubicate fuori della Toscana che hanno già acquisito il diritto: cioè coloro che imbottigliano Chianti da almeno due anni. In questo modo sarà quindi possibile bloccare ogni nuovo imbottigliatore con sede fuori dalla regione Toscana garantendo un maggiore controllo dell’intera filiera e dell’effettiva qualità del vino imbottigliato.
“E’ un passaggio fondamentale per il futuro del vino Chianti – continua Busi – che arriva in un momento in cui è sempre più necessario tutelare il consumatore attraverso un filiera controllata e garantita. Con questa modifica poniamo fine ad una discussione che si trascina da oltre quindici anni e che permetterà di difendere con maggiore forza il nostro prodotto.” Dopo l’approvazione della filiera, il provvedimento passerà all’esame del Comitato Nazionale Vini per successivamente diventare oggetto di un decreto ministeriale. “Ci auguriamo – conclude Busi – che il provvedimento diventerà legge prima della prossima vendemmia.”
