“La grande storia della viticoltura italiana è il risultato di tante piccole storie ancora da raccontare”. Sono parole del professor Attilio Scienza, tra gli autori del libro “L’eredità della Serenissima – Vigneti e vini nell’area della Doc Venezia” che indaga e racconta alcune di queste storie.
«Questa pubblicazione – spiega l’ideatore Carlo Favero, direttore del Consorzio Vini Venezia – ha l’ambizione di raccontare come il Nord est del Veneto sia potuto diventare un’area di produzione vitivinicola riconosciuta a livello mondiale per la tipologia e la qualità dei propri vini». 150 pagine, edite da Veneto Agricoltura «per conoscere maggiormente un pezzo di Veneto, attraverso cenni di storia geologica ed umana – afferma Giorgio Piazza, presidente del Consorzio Vini Venezia – attraverso la ricerca di tracce chimiche e biologiche del passato vitivinicolo di Venezia e del suo entroterra».
Un libro che regala piacevoli sorsate di storia, nelle quali di sente il profumo della campagna dell’entroterra veneziano, racchiuso tra la laguna e le Dolomiti, ricamato dai filari di antichi vitigni allevati da vignaioli appassionati e pazienti. Ci pensa il prof. Scienza a soffiare sui pampini dei luoghi comuni, indagando i contenuti ambigui del terroir che non è la Doc. «Siamo tutti vittime, produttori e consumatori, del “pensiero unico” – scrive Scienza senza peli sulla penna – che attraverso la comunicazione, soprattutto dei media internazionali, pretende di regolare i comportamenti della viticoltura “tradizionale” cercando di conformarla ai vini del Nuovo Mondo nel tentativo di delegittimare i valori della tradizione viti-enologica europea, per promuovere i cosiddetti vini di vitigno e costringere i produttori europei alla rinuncia della valorizzazione delle diversità che sono invece insite nei vini di territorio».
