Originale l’ iniziativa lanciata da Prosecco Cycling e da Villa Sandi, in partnership con il Consorzio di Promozione Turistica Marca Treviso. Il viaggio di Mike è iniziato il 9 luglio, di buon mattino, da Villa Sandi e l’arrivo nella capitale britannica è previsto per il 19 luglio, dopo 1500 chilometri in bicicletta attraverso l’Europa. L’obiettivo? Portare una bottiglia di Prosecco Docg di Villa Sandi dalle colline trevigiane a Londra.
Un famoso chef britannico, il cui nome è ancora tenuto segreto, attende Mike Ramseyer al Bellavita Expo London, il più grande evento dedicato all’enogastronomia italiana nel Regno Unito. La consegna della bottiglia di Prosecco Docg avverrà il 19 luglio, dopo un viaggio in bicicletta che, prima di approdare in Inghilterra, attraverserà Svizzera, Germania e Francia. L’iniziativa si chiama #ProseccoToLondon ed è stata lanciata da Prosecco Cycling e da Villa Sandi, in partnership con il Consorzio di Promozione Turistica Marca Treviso, al quale si è affiancata la Camera di Commercio di Treviso.
Mike Ramseyer, il ciclista che porterà la bottiglia di Prosecco Docg di Villa Sandi sino a Londra, è un appassionato di ciclismo. Inglese, 62 anni, manager della comunicazione, Ramseyer ha già pedalato dall’Inghilterra all’Italia lo scorso autunno, per partecipare alla Prosecco Cycling. Era uno dei tanti britannici arrivati in Italia per prendere all’evento ciclistico tra le colline di Valdobbiadene (un quarto degli ospiti stranieri della Prosecco Cycling proviene dalla Gran Bretagna). Solo lui, però, per viaggiare dall’Inghilterra all’Italia scelse la bicicletta invece dell’aereo.
La meta del nuovo viaggio di Mike – il Bellavita Expo London – non è casuale. Il Prosecco, in Gran Bretagna, è uno dei simboli dello stile di vita italiano e la Wine Academy del Business Design Centre, sede dell’edizione 2016 di Bellavita Expo London, dal 17 al 19 luglio, riunirà oltre 260 piccole e medie imprese per valorizzare le eccellenze enogastronomiche italiane, portandole a conoscenza di buyers internazionali e top chef, di giornalisti e blogger.
