Sarà un’estate all’insegna del buon vino e della buona musica quella che ha in serbo la III edizione di Primitivo Jazz Festival da venerdì 5 a domenica 7 agosto a Maruggio (TA).
Accanto ai grandi nomi internazionali della musica jazz, il vino avrà un ruolo centrale all’interno della manifestazione, con il Consorzio di una delle eccellenze enologiche più prestigiose del sud Italia. Il Consorzio di Tutela del Primitivo di Manduria che controlla una delle eccellenze della produzione vitivinicola pugliese e simbolo del Made in Italy, presenterà a ritmo di jazz le sue perle enologiche. La realtà pugliese ha da poco ricevuto dal Ministero delle politiche agricole alimentari e forestali il prestigioso Erga Omnes, riconoscimento che gli attribuisce il ruolo di decisore e coordinatore esclusivo di tutte le politiche di valorizzazione, oltre che di tutela, delle denominazioni d’origine controllata del Primitivo.
Il centro storico di Maruggio, detto anche “Terra murata”, per essere anticamente racchiuso nelle mura medievali, già sede della Commenda Magistrale dell’Ordine dei Cavalieri di Malta, ai piedi delle murge tarantine e a pochi chilometri dal mare, farà da cornice a questo riuscitissimo festival che, come tradizione, spazierà su diversi linguaggi musicali, segno di un’inclinazione particolare verso le diverse interpretazioni del Jazz.
Ad esibirsi nel cartellone del Primitivo Jazz Festival 2016 ci saranno , anche quest’anno, importanti artisti del panorama nazionale ed internazionale. Tra gli interpreti il Tito Schipa Percussion Academy con la direzione di Giuseppe Cacciola, primo percussionista dell’ Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala di Milano e Felice Clemente Quartet (Felice Clemente al sax; Marco Pacassoni, marimba e vibrafono; Paolino Dalla Porta, contrabbasso; Massimo Manzi, batteria). Poi il piano di Mirko Signorile, il pianoforte di Soo Cho con il sax di Javier Girotto e, infine, le note del flauto di Gianluca Milanese con il basso di Richard Sinclar.
Inoltre, accanto alla buona musica e al buon vino sarà possibile anche degustare i prodotti tipici locali e avranno spazio anche l’arte e il cinema con il cortometraggio “Vino su tela” di Agnese Correra sull’arte enoica di Arianna Greco che dipingerà su tela con il vino, stupendo il pubblico presente. Primitivo Jazz Festival nasce da un’idea del suo direttore artistico Umberto Summa con il contributo del Consorzio di Tutela del Primitivo di Manduria e il patrocinio del Comune di Maruggio.
