Spumanti italiani “superstar” a Natale: durante le prossime festività, nel nostro Paese verranno stappate 62 milioni di bottiglie di spumanti italiani (+10% sul 2015; bottiglie da 0,75l), mentre all’estero 158 milioni (+20%).
Dalle stime dell’Osservatorio del Vino, su base dati Ismea, emerge che il comparto nazionale dei vini spumanti chiuderà il 2016 con una produzione di circa 625 milioni di bottiglie (4,69 mln di hl, +18% sul 2015) ed un export di 3,4 milioni di ettolitri (oltre 450 milioni di bottiglie da. 0,75l) se fosse confermato il trend gennaio-settembre dell’anno.

Dall’analisi Ismea, con il contributo del Cirve dell’Università degli Studi di Padova, all’interno dell’Osservatorio del Vino, emerge un quadro nel quale il crescente interesse del pubblico per i vini spumanti potrà offrire interessanti opportunità di diversificazione anche nelle aree non specializzate in questi prodotti. Nel generale successo degli spumanti Italiani, si conferma nel 2016 il notevole dinamismo delle tipologie minori, ossia i vini spumanti prodotti in denominazioni diverse da quelle principali o varietali che rappresentano ormai più di un quinto della produzione nazionale.
Molto bene l’export che, trainato dallo spumante a Denominazione di Origine (+23% a volume e +29% a valore) e, in particolare, dal Prosecco (+28% a volume e +38% a valore), da gennaio a settembre 2016 ha fatto registrare già oltre 2 milioni di ettolitri di vendite oltre i confini nazionali, con incrementi su base annua a volume del 21% e a valore del 24%.
