Ha preso il via nei giorni scorsi in Valtènesi la vendemmia delle uve Doc Groppello, Marzemino, Barbera e Sangiovesedestinate alla produzione del Chiaretto, a cui seguirà nella seconda metà di settembre la selezione per i rossi.
La raccolta è partita con un anticipo di dieci giorni circa rispetto allo scorso anno, ma solo tre giorni prima rispetto al 2015, delineando il profilo di un’annata medio-precoce che, nonostante l’estate particolarmente calda, non ha fatto registrare accelerazioni particolarmente eccezionali. Inoltre l’abbassamento delle temperature e le piogge degli ultimi dieci giorni hanno ulteriormente contribuito a riallineare l’andamento delle maturazioni a quello di un’annata normale.
Dal punto di vista quantitativo si preannuncia un calo della produzione nell’ordine del -20%, riconducibile in particolar modo alla gelata del 19 aprile e alla siccità agostana. Sul fronte sanitario però l’annata si presenta perfetta: sul lago compessivamente l’andamento vegetativo estivo è stato regolare ed equilibrato, con alternanza ideale tra periodi di caldo e piogge, né troppo abbondanti né troppo scarse, che hanno consentito uno sviluppo ideale delle piante con una riduzione degli interventi antiparassitari nell’ordine del 40%.
Le uve si presentano quindi sane ed in perfette condizioni, con un ottimo profilo sia aromatico e con gradi zuccherini in rialzo rispetto alle ultime vendemmie. L’attesa è per vini molto interessanti sia in termini di complessità che longevità.
